Rob Zombie - known for his blood-soaked and gory films - has built a collection of horror cult classics for more than 15 years, and on September 16^th his new film ‘3 From Hell’ premiered as a follow up to his 2003 film ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ and its 2005 sequel ‘The Devil’s Rejects’. This trilogy centers on the Firefly family, a Charles Manson-inspired homicidal family.

Captain Spaulding is back in full force

Zombie picks up the story of the iconic Captain Spaulding, Baby Firefly and Otis Firefly after surviving a furious shootout with the police and being thrown into prison. But pure evil cannot be contained as they manage to escape and go for a terror ride to hell and back. Other cast members include Danny Trejo as Rondo and Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green.

The director will please old-school horror fans with this movie, as the industrial metal artist-turned underground film director takes inspiration from the 70’s horror films aesthetics and violent plots to build what is now a cult trilogy.

Limited theater releases expected

As it’s been the case with many of Rob Zombie’s releases, ‘3 From Hell’ will get a very limited theater release, in sights of maintaining his underground and cult-following director status - something in which he feels very comfortable at.
